5 things to do with your pooch at Paw Paddock

All news

There are many ways to enjoy your walks with your four-legged friend at our paddocks - here are just a few ideas on how to make the most of your visit!

1. Practice Recall and Basic Training

With fewer distractions from other people or dogs, you can confidently work on your dog’s recall and basic training. Each paddock is fully secured with 6ft fencing, so there's no need to worry if your dog’s recall is a little rusty - they won’t be able to run too far ahead or out of sight!

2 . Agility Equipment

Each of our paddocks is equipped with a range of agility equipment, including weave poles, jumps, an A-frame, and a podium. These are there for your dog to enjoy, should you wish to use them.

Any use of our agility equipment is completely at your own risk and you are totally responsible for the welfare of your children and your dog(s) at all times.

3. Play Games

Bring your dogs favourite treats, ball or toy and play a fun game of fetch, or hide and seek. Make use of the agility equipment and field shelters to hide items and test your dog’s sniffing skills. This is great for mental stimulation and an excellent way to burn off energy!

Do not drop litter or leave toys or uneaten treats in the field or in the shelter. Dogs may swallow them and become ill so take everything home with you at the end of your session. Also, this makes for a lovely clean environment for all the dog walking community.

4. Socialisation

Our paddocks are exclusively yours during your booking, so you won’t encounter unfamiliar people or dogs unless you invite them to join you during your session. If your dog is nervous or needs help socialising, consider bringing a trusted friend and their dog to help build confidence - particularly useful for puppies, rescues, or dogs that are anxious or reactive.

Each of our paddocks have their own limit of how many dogs or people allowed in the paddock at one time, so make sure to check that out on our individual paddock pages before creating a booking.

5. Enjoy Quality Time

Take a relaxed stroll at your dog’s pace and let them explore the space with their nose. There’s nothing quite like watching your dog just be a dog - running, sniffing, and playing freely in one of our exclusive, enclosed and secure paddocks!
