Dog Field Etiquette - How To Be A Responsible Dog Owner

• Be a responsible visitor and read the rules and terms of use for our paddocks before your visit. Familiarise yourself with the guidelines and follow them to maintain the integrity of the field and ensure everyone’s safety.

• Arrive a few minutes before the start of your session. When you arrive at the paddock, you must remain in your car until the person before has vacated the paddock. If you arrive early please ensure you wait in a safe place, out of sight of the paddock to avoid distractions to customers within the paddock. There are reactive dogs that use the paddocks so please do not aggravate by leaving your car with or without your dog.

• Remember that it is your personal responsibility to pick up your dog poo. Paw Paddock provides biodegradable poo bags and bins to make it an easy task, this also means keeping an eye on your dog to make sure you don’t miss them pooing around the paddock.

• Discourage your dog from digging, as this can make our fields unsecure and dangerous to others. If you happen to find any holes dug within our paddocks, please report them to use immediately on 01243 963952 or bookings@pawpaddock.co.uk for our maintenance team to fill.

• Do not drop litter or leave toys or uneaten treats in the field or in the shelter. Dogs may swallow them and become ill so take everything home with you at the end of your session. Also, this makes for a lovely clean environment for all the dog walking community.

• Do not bring your dog to the field if they are or have been unwell in the last 48 hours or your vet has advised to not exercise or socialise with others. Doing so could be harmful to your dog(s) and other dog(s).

• Treat our paddocks and other customers with respect. We pride ourselves on offering a safe, enclosed and secure space for your pooch to have the freedom it deserves, and we are unable to do so without the help from our amazing Paw Paddock community!
