Paw Paddock Presents - East Meon

Welcome to the fifth blog post of our new campaign 'Paw Paddock Presents', where we work with any local pet focused businesses / brands close to our paddocks, in order to bring more attraction to local businesses, as well as all of the products and/or services they offer!

This post is all about our East Meon Paddock, and a few of the pet based companies based in / around the local area!

Our East Meon paddock is slightly bigger than our other paddocks at 4 acres and surrounded by rolling hills and quintessentially English countryside.

It still has the same quality and security as our other paddocks and is fully enclosed with 6ft high fences, which are dug into the ground with an extra layer of fine fencing around the bottom so no smaller dogs can escape underneath.

You are allowed to bring up to 3 dogs in our East Meon paddock and we provide poo bags, waste bins and a water source located in the secure parking area.

Hounds for Heroes

Over the past few years, we have been supporting Hounds for Heroes with donations to local fundraisers as we really saw the positive impact they had on so many lives. So, in the new year we got in touch with the team to see if we could partner with them and support the charity further.

Hounds for Heroes was founded by Allen Parton. Allen received serious head injuries whilst serving in the Royal Navy and any meaningful recovery appeared remote until he was befriended by a special dog by the name of Endal.

The partnership that formed between Allen and Endal saw Allen make a quite remarkable recovery. Endal was voted ‘Dog of the Millennium’ and was awarded the PDSA Dickin Medal for bravery. Allen created Hounds for Heroes so that injured personnel from the military and the ‘blue-light’ services might receive the same help Endal had given him. In his words “We owe them a great debt, and this is our way of saying thank you”.
